MTC Web Services (MWS) is a big tech company providing cloud, AI services, and platform solutions for various business needs: from data processing to product development and process optimization. We have also launched a new publicly available platform of our own development — MWS Cloud Platform.
We are looking for a Trainee Data Engineer for the Dynamic Pricing team. The product is involved in creating a comprehensive solution that allows flexible management of prices for goods/services/subscriptions based on customer profiles and product characteristics to achieve various business goals.
Your responsibilities will include
- Developing ETL procedures using Python, PySpark, Hadoop, Airflow;
- Collecting data from various relational and non-relational sources (Kafka, Redis, Hadoop);
- Creating and populating data marts in Hive/Postgres/Greenplum;
- Writing basic data processes and maintaining existing pipelines;
- Preparing and updating technical documentation;
- Assisting in solving current technical tasks (working with small files in Hadoop, etc.);
- Participating in discussions on data processing architecture and processes.
What we expect
- Students in their 3rd - 6th year of Bachelor's, Specialist, or Master's programs;
- Good knowledge of Python;
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational DBMS;
- Understanding of Git principles;
- Basic understanding of ETL concepts and data handling.
