We are looking for a Frontend / fullstack engineer (Senior) with proven experience in developing video players and integrating advertising according to IAB standards.

Project: Video platform (streaming) with its own HTML5 player. The player supports HLS, dash, and MP4. It works on various platforms (web, smarttv, android, IOS), is integrated with its own advertising system, and supports VAST/VPAID standards. Stack: JavaScript, custom player.frame, hls.min.js, dash.min.js, IMA SDK. Active development stage.

Main task: Refactoring and implementation of new features in the player.

Mandatory:

• HTML5, JavaScript (ES5, ES6) (including prototype inheritance and working with HTMLMediaElement API), TypeScript

• HLS / DASH / MSE, understanding of iOS limitations (no MSE → native HLS) and cross-browser autoplay specifics

• VAST / VPAID / VMAP

• Experience with Video.js or hls.js

• SSAI (server-side ad insertion)

• Flutter WebView (embedding the player into a mobile application)

As a plus:

• Node.js and basic DevOps (Docker, CI) for ad-tech wrapping: VAST proxy, self-host ad scripts, server-side VMAP assembly

• Header bidding / Prebid (client-side or server-side)

• Understanding of CDN and content delivery (signed URLs, tokens, segment cache)

• DRM (Widevine / PlayReady / FairPlay)

Format: Remote, part-time (4 hours/day). Connection from 13:00-14:00 Moscow time.
