Role: AI Engineer/Senior Competency: ML Engineer Company: IT People group Rate: we will consider your offer Format: remote from the Russian Federation, Russian citizenship, as an Individual Entrepreneur / Sole Proprietor (IP) or under a Contract for the Provision of Paid Services (GPC / SmZ)

Main tasks — Develop backend services for integrating AI components with internal APIs, services, and data sources. — Build a unified access layer to tools and systems: an integration catalog, a connector registry, and mechanisms for invoking tools for agent scenarios. — Connect new systems through standard protocols for interaction between models, agents, and tools. — Design security for the integration layer: authentication, authorization, action auditing, access control, and secrets management. — Ensure reliability of the integration layer: retries, queues, rate limiting, idempotency, monitoring, logging, and tracing. — Transform disparate integrations into a platform layer that other teams can use. — Participate in the architecture of AI services: backend, orchestration, observability, and production operations.

Requirements — Strong Python background: backend development, API integrations, asynchrony, typing, data validation, ORM and migrations. — Experience in developing and supporting production-grade APIs and integration services. — Good understanding of REST, gRPC, WebSocket, queues, and event-driven architecture. — Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, containerization, and CI/CD. — Understanding of service security: OAuth2 / JWT, service-to-service authentication, secrets management, audit trail. — Experience designing fault-tolerant integrations and diagnosing problems in distributed systems. — Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable code.

Will be a plus: — Experience with LLM applications, tool calling, agent pipelines, and retrieval /search scenarios.
