Senior Golang Backend Engineer

🇺🇸 An American B2B SaaS company is looking for a Senior Golang Backend Engineer.

The company has already built its own data processing platform for large enterprise clients in the US and worldwide. It's a product team with a strong engineering culture, where deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and understanding of how the system works as a whole are valued.

The company is a technological partner of Google and Microsoft. Among the engineers are contributors to the Linux Kernel and other open-source projects, authors of patents and technical publications.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in platform architecture design;
• Design and develop microservices in Golang;
• Design service interaction protocols and data models;
• Identify bottlenecks in the system and optimize performance;
• Work with high-load data processing systems;
• Research and prototype new features in the areas of cybersecurity, agentic platforms, full-text and semantic search, including RAG;
• Work together with engineers, designers, and product managers on product development.

Technology Stack: Golang, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, gRPC, Terraform, CI/CD, Grafana, Prometheus, GCP Monitoring, Tracing, Sentry.

The product is built on a microservices architecture and deployed in several Kubernetes clusters in GCP. For key services and libraries, unit and integration tests are set up, along with a separate staging environment, monitoring, and alerts.

The team actively uses coding agents for solution research, prototyping, code review, testing, and automation of routine processes. Developers have corporate access to advanced Claude models without the limitations of standard subscriptions.

What's important:

• 4-5 years of commercial development experience;
• Experience in designing and developing services in a microservices architecture;
• Expert knowledge of Golang;
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, and gRPC;
• Experience with Kubernetes and one of the public clouds: GCP, AWS, or Azure;
• Experience developing high-load data processing systems.

Will be a plus: Experience in optimizing the performance of highload systems and familiarity with data indexing structures, such as B-trees and LSM-trees.
