ML Developer for the Generative Ecom Scenarios (LLM) Team

[[slider]] LLM tools are everywhere, and it seems that in a couple more years we won't be able to imagine how we managed without them. In our team, you will be building an ecom-Alisa (a reliable shopping assistant) literally from scratch — a reliable assistant in choosing products and where to buy them.

Imagine you want to buy something complex and expensive. Right now, you would likely spend several evenings studying forums, articles, chats, and reviews to make a choice. We want to reduce this process to a few minutes. With our technology, you will immediately understand which aspects of a product are important to you, which brands are leaders, and which products are the best in terms of "price — quality" ratio.

We are looking not just for an experienced professional, but for someone ready to build processes, actively interact with related teams, and influence the product.

What tasks await you

Creating prototypes for various product functions You will design pipelines, enrich them with external data, evaluate their quality, and ensure computational efficiency.

Integrating models into the product You will need to fine-tune models, continue their training, and distill them into efficient production versions. You will also collaborate with related teams to improve the quality of Yandex's base models.

Data analysis and hypothesis formation In our work, there are no universal solutions — together with the product team, you will formulate hypotheses based on data. You need to be able to see typical user scenarios, understand the needs of different users, and transform them into specific patterns, while trying to avoid Confirmation Bias.

We expect that you

• Are passionate about large language models and have experience training them or a desire to dive in and figure them out
• Can solve full-cycle product ML tasks: from data collection to implementing solutions in production
• Have been involved in product development
