What you will be doing:
- Developing and supporting the backend on Java (Spring Boot)
- Refactoring legacy code and writing clean, testable code with JUnit / Mockito coverage
- Designing and optimizing REST APIs and integration interactions between services
- Working with relational databases (Oracle): writing complex queries, optimizing indexes, analyzing execution plans (EXPLAIN)
- Independent building and deploying applications to the test environment
- Participating in setting up and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
- Basic monitoring of service operability: checking logs, setting up alerts (in conjunction with the infrastructure team), ability to read metrics (understanding where to look for problems with memory leaks or high CPU load)
- Documenting APIs (OpenAPI) and infrastructure scenarios (how to set up an environment, how to push an image)
What we expect from the candidate:
- Stack: Java 8, 17+, Spring (Boot, Framework, Security, MVC), SQL (Oracle, Postgresql), RabbitMQ, Git
- Commercial work experience of 2+ years
- Experience with multithreading
- Basic Linux administration: command-line work, log viewing (grep, tail, less), process management, environment variable setup
- Understanding of working with transactions - isolation levels, concurrency issues, optimistic and pessimistic locking
- Debugging and profiling experience - ability to find memory/GC issues, read heap dumps, basic metrics analysis
- Testing skills - JUnit, Mockito, integration tests with Testcontainers
