Java Developer

Saint Petersburg 3-5 years Full-time, full day, hybrid

You will work with other backend developers on the security, fault tolerance, and scalability of the service — ensuring its uninterrupted operation 24/7.

We’ll work well together if you have experience with these technologies or want to learn them.

We expect you to have:

• More than a year of commercial development experience;
• Confident Java skills;
• Knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures;
• Understanding of multithreaded program principles;
• Experience with databases;
• Knowledge of HTTP, TCP, UDP network protocols;
• Knowledge of Spring framework;
• Experience designing APIs and database structures;
• Experience testing your code;
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles.

It will be a plus if you:

• Have conducted code reviews;
• Have designed application architecture;
• Have optimized applications and databases;
• Have been a mentor.

Backend

Our work is hidden from view, but it's what everything relies on. We use dozens of tools: we write in Java 21, develop a fintech service based on a microservice architecture using Spring MVC, OpenAPI with code generation, and Kafka. We store data in PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, and work with it through JOOQ, Flyway, and Spring Data JDBC. We test using TestNG, TestContainers, and WireMock. We use automated CI/CD based on Jenkins, Gradle tasks, Docker, and K8s. We monitor metrics in Grafana and logs in OpenSearch.
