Product Manager (Fintech / POS Solutions) South Africa

We are an international fintech group building a payment solutions ecosystem for businesses worldwide. Our flagship product is POS software and services for automating small and medium-sized businesses. The product has already been successfully launched and is operational in the South African market. We are now seeking a strong Product Manager who is already located in South Africa (or is ready to relocate from nearby regions, such as Mauritius or Nigeria) to develop the project locally, adapting it to the specifics of the market and the requirements of key partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Product development in South Africa: Deep immersion in local specifics, adaptation of functionality, and product development considering the characteristics of the South African market.
• Cross-functional team management: Setting tasks and monitoring execution (team includes: Analyst, Backend, Frontend, and DevOps).
• Stakeholder Management: Close collaboration with the local partner and regional CEO, development and implementation of ideas in the product.
• Development cycle management: Backlog prioritization, requirement management, and quality control (testers work in an adjacent department).

We expect:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Product Manager.
• Experience in Fintech.
• Language proficiency: Russian (for internal communication) and English at C1 level or higher (for negotiations with partners and local management).
• We are looking for a candidate in the South African domestic market (Cape Town). Also ready to consider candidates from other African countries willing to relocate.
• Ability to speak the same language as developers, experience in managing software development cycles.
• High level of communication skills, self-sufficiency, and ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with POS software, acquiring, or systems for retail/SME.
