Remote Vacancy
2GIS is looking for a Localization Product Manager to lead the strategic direction of localization and replication of geoinformation solutions — from the current pilot project in one of the regions to creating a scalable platform for entering other markets.
This is not a one-off implementation project, but a strategic transition from one-time integrations to a product model with a long-term lifecycle, based on the principles of modularity, adaptability, and reuse — allowing for systematic adaptation, updating, and scaling of the solution in various jurisdictions, regulatory environments, and closed corporate infrastructures.
Key Tasks:
Transform one-time deployments into products with a lifecycle:
- Determine which product components (data, interfaces, APIs, licensing, settings) can and should be made flexible, customizable, and updatable.
- Implement a product localization approach: not just translation, but adaptation to local norms, requirements, infrastructure, and business processes.
- Develop an update architecture: how will changes be pushed to already deployed instances (e.g., in closed corporate clouds or isolated environments)?
Research and systematize the market:
- Conduct research on potential markets: which countries/regions/corporate clients are already showing interest in similar solutions?
- Identify internal needs of other departments: which teams within the company can use our platform for their tasks?
- Formulate a replication roadmap: where is the demand, what are the barriers (regulatory, technical, legal), what are the risks?
Define and manage product scope. Solve key product issues:
- How to package licenses?
- How to name the product in different regions?
- How to differentiate functionality for different types of clients (government structures/private sector/corporate clouds)?
Balance between "do it now" and "do it scalable" — don't overload, but don't miss opportunities.
Create a foundation for future monetization:
- Determine how we can bring the product to market as a ready-made product (SaaS / On-prem), not as an individual project.
- Formulate a business model: subscription, licensing, tiered pricing, enterprise contracts.
- Calculate project launch costs, estimate basic P&L for scaling.
- Prepare arguments for internal stakeholders: why it's worth investing, what are the ROI and KPIs.
Candidate Expectations:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in B2B, enterprise, or international projects (preferably in geo/mapping/IT solutions).
- Understanding of the product lifecycle: from idea → MVP → scaling → support.
- Ability to work with vague requirements and turn them into clear product hypotheses.
- Experience in market research and competitor analysis.
- Scope management skills: ability to say "no," but with justification and alternatives.
- Understanding of the basics of licensing, data localization, corporate infrastructures (clouds, air-gapped environments).
- English at the level of reading technical documentation and conducting negotiations (desirable).
What is offered:
- Participation in a strategic project that can become the basis for a new business direction of the company.
- Opportunity to influence product architecture from scratch — not just refine, but create.
- Work in a team with experts in geodata, AI, and enterprise solutions.
- Flexible schedule, corporate benefits, training, conference participation.
- A real chance to create a product that will go beyond a single contract — and be used in dozens of countries and organizations.
