Vacancy: Test Engineer (Java Automation) / QA Automation Engineer (CFA / Blo
Company: IBS
We are IBS. A leading Russian system integrator creating digital infrastructure for the financial sector and the state.
You will join a project to develop infrastructure for the issuance and circulation of Digital Financial Assets (DFAs). This is an innovative product at the intersection of classic Enterprise (microservices, integrations) and advanced blockchain technologies (smart contracts, distributed ledgers).
Your task is to ensure the quality of a complex system: test not only the business logic of microservices and interfaces, but also the correctness of transaction recording in the blockchain, consensus mechanics, and contracts between dozens of services. There is no room for superficial testing here — deep analysis and attention to detail are required.
What you will be doing (Responsibilities)
Functional testing of complex scenarios:
- Testing micro-frontends and the correctness of role models (different user access rights).
- Testing interfaces (UI/UX) for compliance with requirements.
- Testing contracts between Frontend and Backend, as well as between microservices (REST API).
- Testing the internal business logic of microservices.
Blockchain Specifics (Unique Tasks):
- Verifying the correctness of reading operations from the blockchain network.
- Verifying transaction records in the blockchain (integrity and immutability control).
- Testing off-chain consensus gathering mechanics (a critically important process for DFAs).
Automation and Infrastructure:
- Writing and maintaining autotests in Java (TestNG).
- Developing emulators and stubs (Wiremock) for isolated microservice testing.
- Setting up and configuring test environments.
- Working with monitoring tools to analyze system behavior under load and in normal operation.
- Preparing test documentation and product quality reports.
Our Requirements (Competencies)
Experience: from 3 to 5 years in a tester position (functional/integration testing).
Mandatory Skills:
- Higher technical education.
- SQL: confident proficiency (all basic commands, JOINs, subqueries, data filtering).
- Deep understanding of REST API (methods, response codes, authorization, working with JSON/XML).
- Experience in developing autotests in Java using TestNG.
- Experience working with monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Zabbix, or similar) — ability to read logs and metrics.
- Basic understanding of blockchain network integration principles (how an application interacts with a distributed ledger).
- Experience in preparing test documentation (test cases, checklists, defect reports).
- Experience in setting up and configuring test environments (deploying stands, updating configs).
- Practical experience in developing emulators/stubs (Wiremock).
Will be an advantage (plus):
- Experience testing blockchain solutions or financial platforms.
- Understanding of cryptography and key management fundamentals.
- Experience with microservice architecture and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience testing asynchronous interactions (Kafka, message queues).
- Knowledge of BDD approach (Cucumber, Gherkin).
Working Conditions
- Participation in an innovative federal-level project in the fast-growing DFA segment.
- Official employment under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, fully "white" salary.
- Voluntary Medical Insurance (DMS) for employees and children after the probationary period.
- Work in a strong team of experts with a transparent task assignment system.
- Opportunity for professional growth and learning blockchain technologies (onboarding, mentorship).
