✅Required Expertise: ▪️Language: Swift 6.0+ (advanced level) ▪️Backend frameworks: Server-side Swift (Hummingbird, Vapor, or similar) ▪️Message brokers: Apache Kafka (production experience with Swift/Kafka clients) ▪️Databases: PostgreSQL (schemas, connection pooling, migrations) ▪️Cryptography: Privacy-preserving protocols, PIR, homomorphic encryption ▪️Orchestration: Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, operation)

💪🏻Experience Level: ▪️Middle+ Backend Engineer/Cloud-Native Engineer with:

• 5+ years of backend development;
• 2+ years of Swift (server-side only);
• 1+ year of Kafka + PostgreSQL in production;
• 1+ year of operating services in Kubernetes;
• Experience with security/privacy-sensitive systems is an advantage.

✨Specific Competencies: ▪️1. Server-Side Swift

• Experience with Swift Package Manager;
• Creation of REST/HTTP APIs using Hummingbird or similar frameworks;
• Service lifecycle management (graceful shutdown, signal handling);
• Asynchronous patterns async/await in Swift. ▪️2. Data Engineering
• Kafka integration: producers, consumers, consumer groups, offset management;
• PostgreSQL: connection pooling (e.g., PostgresNIO), transactions, indexing;
• Schema design for high-load search services;
• Database migration strategies. ▪️3. Security and Privacy
• Understanding of Private Information Retrieval (PIR) protocols;
• Cryptographic primitives (hashing, signing, token validation);
• Implementation of Privacy Pass or similar tokenized authentication;
• Secure data handling practices. ▪️4. Kubernetes & Cloud-Native
• Network policies, Ingress, Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd) - advantage;
• Experience with managed Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS, Yandex Cloud K8s) - advantage; ▪️5. Infrastructure and Observability
• Containerization (docker, multi-stage builds, image optimization);
• CI/CD pipelines for Swift projects (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD);
• Logging (structured logs, collection in ELK/Loki);
• Metrics (Prometheus, Grafana, application metrics) - advantage;
• Tracing (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Zipkin) - advantage.

➕Will be an advantage: ▪️Experience with the Apple ecosystem (NetworkExtension, CallKit); ▪️Familiarity with homomorphic encryption; ▪️Experience deploying Swift on Linux in production; ▪️Performance optimization for search services; ▪️SKA/CKAD certifications (Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer).
