We are looking for a Kubernetes Operations SRE Engineer for an international product company, our partners in the Cyprus office (Limassol). The Kubernetes Operations team is responsible for the operational tasks of K8s clusters: cluster and addon updates, OS management, and improving the cluster control system.

Tech Stack: Kubernetes, GitOps, Ansible/AWX

Responsibilities: • Update clusters and addons • Manage the OS lifecycle on nodes (Ubuntu) • Automate patching and security updates • Optimize kernel parameters for K8s workloads • Manage node images and their versioning • Develop cluster health check and compliance systems • Implement policy enforcement (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper) • Automate cluster configuration audits • Build dashboards for cluster status monitoring • Implement GitOps for configuration management (ArgoCD, Gitlab Agent) • Automate routine operations using Ansible/AWX • Write scripts and utilities in Python/Go/Bash

Requirements: • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes in production • Experience updating Kubernetes clusters in production • Deep knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu): systemd, networking, kernel tuning • Experience with Ansible/AWX for automation • Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) • Knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab CI) • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture: kubelet, container runtime, CNI, CSI • Programming skills in Python or Bash • Understanding of networking: TCP/IP, iptables/nftables, DNS

Nice to have: • Experience with Cilium or Calico CNI • Knowledge of Go for writing utilities • Experience with Kyverno or OPA Gatekeeper • Experience with bare metal Kubernetes (not just managed) • Experience with PXE boot and automatic node provisioning Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS)
