Python Engineer (Backend)
Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our AI-driven health tech startup, where we leverage cutting-edge technology to empower users with personalized health insights and recommendations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing scalable APIs, optimizing data pipelines, and implementing machine learning algorithms that help users take control of their health.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement APIs to support various health management features.
- Build data processing pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) health-related data for analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-impact features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation and mentorship.
- Monitor and improve the performance of applications, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
- Proven experience in building RESTful APIs (FastAPI) and integrating third-party services.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (PostgreSQL).
- Experience working with Redis, Kafka, or similar high-performance data and messaging systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Pandas and NumPy.
Good to have:
- Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with API of AI-providers or platforms (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI APIs) is a plus.
