Remote vacancy.
IT company ONMOON is looking for a Chief Product Officer.
They are developing a marketplace for trading in-game items. Users buy and sell skins to each other, and the company facilitates the transaction and earns a commission. Platforms: web version, mobile app, desktop client for PC, and browser extension. Markets: CIS, where the product is mature, as well as Brazil and Europe, where expansion is underway.
The product has been in development for many years, and the core processes are in place. With over 2 million users and a GMV exceeding $50 million per month, and over 400 million transactions to date. This allows for reliable assessment of how changes impact business metrics. Until now, one Product Owner has managed the entire product, without dedicated product managers. The company has grown, and they are now building a full-fledged product function: the CPO's task is to identify areas where product work can be more effective and to consistently improve them.
The CPO will lead design (4 people), a team of delivery managers and system analysts, and user feedback management (ideas portal, changelog, NPS). They will work closely with development (around 25 people, with a dedicated lead for each area), analytics, the Payments team, and marketing, and together with other leaders, will define how the product interacts with these areas.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Transaction Conversion: the percentage of deals that are completed with skin transfer. Each party has 5 minutes for their step, otherwise the deal is canceled.
- Activation: the user journey from registration to the first deposit and first transaction.
- Retention: users return and trade regularly; price and sale notifications, addressing reasons for churn.
- Trust: clear transaction statuses, scam protection, dispute resolution with support.
- Deposit and Withdrawal: convenient top-ups, balance management, and fund withdrawal - in collaboration with the Payments team.
- Lot Search and Listing: buyers quickly find the desired skin, and listed skins find buyers. Metrics: time to sale and percentage of lots sold.
- Platforms: each platform is managed by a separate team with its own release cycle, and the CPO sets overall priorities for all.
Tasks:
- Conduct a product audit (analyze the user journey from the first visit to regular transactions across all platforms, identify where deals and users are lost, and compare the product with competitors);
- Formulate strategy and roadmap (define North Star and metric tree, prioritize roadmap based on impact on key metrics);
- Build product processes (implement a rhythm: discovery — release — results analysis; propose product team structure and hiring plan if needed);
- Launch a culture of experimentation (build an A/B testing process: rules, success metrics, rollout and rollback; ensure hypotheses are constantly tested, and the path from idea to release is shortened);
- Make the product transparent for management (formulate requirements for product analytics and establish regular reporting; accelerate access to data, problem analysis, and hypothesis testing, including through an AI chat connected to product data);
- Prepare for growth in new markets (based on the audit results, define priorities for Brazil and Europe and necessary resources, adapt the product, and find a balance of resources between current markets and expansion).
Requirements:
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years at Head of Product or CPO level;
- Experience in B2C products with frequent transactions: marketplaces, fintech, trading, gaming;
- Responsibility for product business results — conversion, retention, revenue, not just backlog and releases;
- Reliance on A/B tests, cohorts, unit economics, and LTV; ability to quickly obtain necessary data and demonstrate how decisions have changed metrics;
- Fluent in AI tools for analysis and launch preparation;
- Experience in building or restructuring product processes;
- English language proficiency from A2.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in CS2 skin trading projects (or at least an understanding of Steam and the skin market);
- Experience developing products on multiple platforms and launching in multiple markets.
Conditions:
- Remote work and full-time employment;
- Salary and bonus based on product metrics;
- Independent area of responsibility;
- Sports compensation;
- Training compensation.
Selection Stages:
- Interview with recruiter;
- Test task (no more than 3 hours);
- Final interview.
