QA Automation Engineer Intern (Java) at Button One

Proficient in Java and eager to master test automation? Join Button One: we'll teach you testing and framework usage, provide practical tasks, and help you prepare to join a client project within our team.

Commercial experience is not required. At the start, we value your understanding of Java, logical thinking, and ability to independently tackle tasks.

What we expect

• Solid knowledge of Java Core: OOP, collections, generics, exceptions, Stream API.
• Ability to independently write and debug code, explain your solutions.
• Ability to reason, identify ambiguities, and ask clarifying questions.
• Basic skills with Git and Maven or Gradle.
• Willingness to study full-time and continue working at Button One.

Will be a plus

• Knowledge of testing theory and test design techniques.
• Familiarity with JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Selenide, or Selenium.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, HTTP, and REST API.
• Educational or personal projects in Java.

If you are not yet familiar with testing and automation tools – we will teach you.

What you will be doing

• Learning the basics of testing and automation tools.
• Writing autotests in Java, testing API and business logic.
• Analyzing errors and reasons for test failures.
• Completing practical assignments and discussing solutions with a mentor.
• Preparing for technical interviews for client projects.

What we offer

Preparation typically takes 3–4 months, in some cases up to 8 months. The time to project assignment depends on your readiness, available positions, and interview results.

First stage – a short questionnaire with Java-related questions. We value your understanding and thought process: explain your answers in your own words and note the conditions that affect the solution.

Next stage – a meeting where we will get acquainted and discuss your answers.
