Junior Developer for the Big Data and Data Warehousing team. Working with Greenplum, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data marts in a corporate DWH.
Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Maintenance: Development and support of database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures) in the Greenplum environment
- Data Mart Development: Design and calculation of metrics for data marts to meet business needs using SQL
- ETL/ELT Pipeline Construction: Implementation and optimization of data loading and transformation processes in the corporate Data Warehouse (DWH) using Apache Airflow for orchestration
- Data Quality Control: Performing initial testing and validation of load results, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Solution Documentation: Active participation in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for developed processes and data schemas
- Planning and Reporting: Maintaining regular reports on task progress, tracking issues and deadlines in tracking systems (Jira)
Requirements:
- Higher education in IT
- SQL Proficiency: Confident knowledge of syntax and basic constructs (SELECT, INSERT, JOIN), working with aggregate functions and window expressions. Understanding of set operations (UNION, INTERSECT, EXCEPT) and Cartesian product
- Databases: Experience with relational DBMS (any vendor — PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, etc.) at the pet-project level
- Programming Skills: Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles will be an advantage
- Portfolio: Presence of completed pet-projects (personal educational projects) with a mandatory link to a Git repository for evaluating code style and approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to work 5/2 from the office (Nizhny Novgorod, Nesterova, bld. 31)
