Senior C Developer (Greengage)

Participate in the development of new features for the MPP DBMS Greengage based on Greenplum (an analytical distributed version of Postgres), solve complex tasks, design and develop software;
Act as a technical expert and mentor, participate in task decomposition and timeline estimation;
Ensure synchronization of changes from existing products for integrating fixes and improvements;
Prepare fixes for identified issues, optimize, and implement enhancements;
Ensure coverage with tests at various levels;
Participate in code reviews;
Contribute fixes to the open-source community.

4+ years of commercial experience in system software development in C;
Commercial development experience at the DBMS kernel level;
Expertise in database theory;
Advanced experience with git (we use GitHub and GitLab);
Advanced experience with debugging (gdb) and profiling (Valgrind, perf, eBPF tools), understanding of what assembly instructions language constructs translate to;
Knowledge of SQL, ability to analyze and optimize complex analytical queries, analyze query plans;
Skills in working with build systems: make, cmake;
Basic knowledge of C++, golang, python, shell;
Experience with Linux, including configuration, diagnostics, and debugging, knowledge of command-line tools;
English proficiency sufficient for maintaining documentation.
