Yandex is the birthplace of ClickHouse, one of the most popular analytical DBMS in the world. We want to combine the advantages of the cloud approach with proven analytics technologies to give users unlimited data management capabilities.

We are looking for someone who will help integrate ClickHouse into the Yandex Cloud infrastructure and develop the engine with us. One of the projects in our team is diskless ClickHouse on top of object storage.

Your Tasks

Integrating ClickHouse with the Cloud

You will implement support for cloud storage services for the diskless version of the DBMS.

Performance Optimization

You will develop and configure mechanisms that ensure high stability and speed on cloud resources.

Engine Functionality Development

You will add new features to ClickHouse, considering the needs of cloud service users.

Scalability and Fault Tolerance

You will implement mechanisms for fault tolerance, distributed computing, and query balancing.

We Expect You To Have

• Knowledge of classic algorithms and data structures
• At least one year of experience with C++ (ClickHouse uses C++23)
• Familiarity with the specifics of data storage
• A good understanding of the internal workings of one or more DBMS

It Will Be a Plus If You

• Have participated in open-source projects
• Understand the specifics of distributed systems
