DistBuild is a distributed build and testing service within the Yandex development tools ecosystem. Every day, hundreds of millions of automated tests are performed on DistBuild, checking tens of thousands of pull requests in our monorepo — Arkadia. The service is also used to accelerate local builds of large projects and prepare release candidates in CI/CD pipelines.

DistBuild clusters house 250K CPUs and petabytes of RAM. Our distributed build service is distinguished by its prediction of computational resource consumption, multi-level caching of results, fair resource quotas, and high isolation level for running tasks.
