🎮 About the project
We are actively developing WELTKRIEG 1: Firestorm and are now strengthening the Core Gameplay direction.
We need a game designer who will help make the gameplay even more engaging and high-quality: improve shooting, weapon and class balance, game modes, maps, controls, and the overall feel of each match.
We are looking for someone who can not only generate ideas but also turn them into clear requirements for the development team, testable hypotheses, and working game iterations.
💼 What you will do
• Develop and improve core gameplay: shooting, controls, combat tempo, collision readability, and overall player experience. • Balance weapons, classes, vehicles, and other game entities. • Design rules, tempo, and balance for game modes. • Participate in polishing PvP maps: player routes, cover, collision density, problematic positions, and spatial readability. • Prepare and maintain game documentation (GDD). • Accompany the implementation of game mechanics together with developers. • Formulate test cases, analyze test results, and player feedback. • Collaborate with QA, analytics, and other team members on continuous gameplay improvement.
🎯 What is important
• Experience as a Game Designer working on core gameplay in PvP, Shooter, or Action projects. • Good understanding of weapon balance, classes, abilities, game modes, and maps. • Ability to look at the game from a player's perspective: understand issues of readability, fairness, and sources of frustration. • Experience working with balance spreadsheets and iterative parameter tuning. • Skill in writing clear game documentation (GDD). • Willingness to regularly test the game, analyze game sessions, and propose improvements. • Understanding of mobile controls and shooting feel specifics.
⭐️ Will be a plus
• Experience working on multiplayer shooter projects. • Experience balancing PvP weapons, classes, or vehicles. • Experience tuning mobile controls in shooter games. • Understanding of Level Design principles for PvP maps. • Experience designing and balancing various game modes. • Interest in historical weapons and military themes.
🤝 We offer
• Fully remote work. • Work on an ambitious multiplayer FPS project. • Opportunity to directly influence key game mechanics. • A young and strong development team. • Competitive salary (discussed individually). • Full-time employment.
