4 "Golden Eagle" awards for visual effects: "The Spacewalker", "Going Vertical", "The Last Warrior: Root of Evil", "Flight Crew", our first animated film won over 50 international festivals, including Animago, Shanghai International Film Festival, and Tokyo Anime Awards.
Now we are looking for an Environment Artist for the Virtual Production team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assembling 360° locations in Unreal Engine: from blocking to final art pass.
- Creating environment scenes that are visually appealing from all angles: panoramas, interiors, exteriors, natural and architectural scenes.
- Working with existing and creating custom PBR shaders and materials in UE.
- Working with lighting, landscape, foliage, post-processing.
- Modeling and preparing assets in Maya, Blender, or Houdini.
What we expect from the candidate:
- Portfolio with 360° locations or panoramic scenes in UE (important: show the scene from different angles, not just one beautiful frame).
- Proficient in Unreal Engine 5: Material Editor, lighting, Landscape, Foliage, Post Process, Sequencer.
- Good command of one of the 3D packages: Maya / Blender / Houdini.
- Experience in creating custom PBR shaders in UE: Master Materials, Material Functions, Layered Materials, Custom HLSL.
- Understanding of PBR and physically correct lighting.
- Texturing experience: Substance Painter / Designer, Photoshop.
- Strong sense of composition, light, color, scale.
- Understanding of linear workflow and color management in UE.
- Basic English for reading technical documentation.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with Virtual Production, In-Camera VFX, virtual studios.
- Knowledge of Blueprints for automation.
- Experience with VR / panoramic content.
- Experience with shipped projects in film / advertising / TV series.
