KION Lines** is a digital service for reading and listening to books, audiobooks, comics, press, and podcasts.
We are looking for a Senior .NET Engineer (C#) to join our cross-functional team and develop the backend of our service: implement new functionality, support and improve existing services, ensure their reliability and performance under growing load. You will work in a strong team, implement business functionality, and maintain high code quality. We work with a modern .NET stack in everyday development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new backend services using .NET Core / ASP.NET / EF Core.
- Developing and improving existing code in .NET Core and C#.
- Working with MS SQL / PostgreSQL databases.
- Developing and maintaining integrations between systems.
- Writing and maintaining unit tests.
- Developing internal NuGet packages.
- Addressing issues identified by automatic code analysis.
- Estimating tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
What we expect from the candidate:
- Commercial development experience in C# / ASP.NET Core, with up-to-date experience with .NET 8–10.
- ASP.NET Core: middleware, DI, configuration, REST API design.
- EF Core: models, migrations, ability to explain why a query takes 3 seconds and fix it.
- Relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL): schemas, indexes, optimization.
- Experience with DDD and CQRS on real projects — understanding where these approaches are appropriate and where they are not.
- Kafka: producers, consumers, common messaging patterns.
- Redis for caching and distributed scenarios.
- Experience with MediatR, AutoMapper, FluentValidation, Refit libraries.
- Unit tests: xUnit, Moq, AutoFixture.
- Docker and CI/CD at the level of "I can build and deploy my own service."
- Use of AI agents in development and code review, understanding security principles when working with AI, and using MCP.
