Aktion University (Aktion media group) is looking for a Chief Editor of Educational Programs to create online courses for the accounting departments of major companies.
They work with a professional audience for whom training should solve specific work tasks: help apply changes in legislation, restructure processes, reduce risks of errors, learn new areas of work, and improve the quality of accounting.
Therefore, they are looking for someone who knows the accounting work from the inside out and simultaneously knows how to create educational products: determine what really needs to be taught, build a course program, and turn complex professional information into understandable and practically applicable training.
Responsibilities:
- Create online courses for employees and managers of accounting departments of large companies — from idea to finished educational product;
- Work with practical experts: chief accountants, auditors, tax consultants, and other specialists;
- Be prepared not only to edit and refine expert materials, but also to create the program content from scratch;
- Conduct expert interviews, extract the main points from a large volume of professional information, and turn it into understandable training material;
- Develop and edit programs, lessons, video lectures, practical assignments, case studies, simulators, guides, templates, and tests;
- Ensure that the training is built around real work situations, rather than being a retelling of theory or regulatory documents;
- Update programs and changes in accounting and tax practice;
- Collect and analyze feedback from students and key learning metrics: completion rates, viewership, test results;
- Interact with the marketing team: write newsletters, landing page materials, presentations, and other texts for product promotion among the target audience.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in accounting. We need a person who knows the work of an accountant from the inside out, understands accounting processes, professional terminology, typical tasks, and specialist challenges.
- Experience in creating educational programs or online courses. It is important to be able to independently develop a training program: define the result, build the structure, select material delivery formats, practical assignments, and methods for checking knowledge.
- Ability to understand complex professional information, extract the main points, and explain material in an understandable language without losing accuracy, work with experts: conduct interviews, ask substantive questions, check material logic, and turn expert knowledge into structured educational material.
- High demands for information accuracy and the ability to work with regulatory and professional sources.
