Backend Java Intern [MTS Agents]
Job Description
The MTS Agents product helps legal entities and sole proprietors generate additional income by recommending MTS business products.
We are looking for a motivated intern without commercial experience who wants to gain practical skills and understand what real backend development in Java looks like.
This is a great opportunity to start a career in IT under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
What You Will Be Doing
- Studying enterprise Java backend development under the guidance of a mentor;
- Completing practical tasks on real work cases;
- Participating in solution reviews;
- Studying and applying modern software development tools and technologies;
- Working with existing code and refactoring it.
What We Expect
- Students in their 3rd - 6th year of Bachelor's, Specialist, or Master's programs;
- Understanding of OOP: understanding of basic principles (encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction);
- Knowledge of Java Core: basic syntax, data types, operators, loops, conditional constructs, lambda expressions, Stream API, working with dates and times;
- Exception handling: types of exceptions, try/catch/finally blocks;
- Understanding of data structures: arrays, lists, queues, stacks, basic interfaces (List, Set, Map) and their implementations;
- Proficiency in Git: basic operations (clone, commit, push, pull);
- Knowledge of SQL: basics of working with relational databases, writing simple queries;
- Will be a plus: knowledge of Spring Framework/Spring Boot (basic level), Hibernate or Spring Data JPA (understanding of ORM), PostgreSQL.
