We are developing artificial intelligence technologies for VK's key products, creating a recommendation and content search system on our platforms.
About the Team
We are the Feature Flow team at AI VK. We develop a part of the Discovery platform used in VK's product recommendation, search, and advertising systems. Our platform allows ML teams to independently connect models and create ETL pipelines for calculating content features. We automate the construction of computational graphs, infrastructure deployment, and the delivery of results to product systems. In our work, we deal with distributed systems, stream data processing, and high loads.
Upcoming Tasks
- Development of new functionality for the Feature Flow platform.
- Participation in migrating platform components to a monorepo and simplifying service architecture.
- Development of a framework for end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines.
- Optimization of ETL pipeline topology.
- Development of the platform infrastructure: parallel and zero-downtime deployments.
Must-Have Skills
- Basic Java knowledge.
- Understanding of OOP principles, fundamental algorithms and data structures, as well as basics of client-server interaction.
- Understanding of testing principles and readiness to write tests for your code.
- Ability to understand existing code.
Advantageous Skills
- Familiarity with version control systems, Spring Boot, SQL, YTSaurus, Docker, CI/CD, or message brokers, but knowing all of this at the start is not mandatory.
