We are building Russia's largest recommendation system, releasing Android and iOS apps, and helping interesting bloggers join Zen. Behind this are our developers, analysts, product managers, and creative teams. Also — a high-load service that handles 150 thousand requests per second, uses complex algorithms, and hundreds of tests.
About the Team
Our team is focused on developing Zen's recommendation system. We work directly with recommendations as well as with ML infrastructure for recommendation systems.
Upcoming Tasks
- Assisting in the development of the recommendation system.
- Ensuring the performance and fault tolerance of runtime and offline processes.
- Improving ML infrastructure.
Must-Have Skills
- Development skills in Java 21 or later versions.
- Understanding of microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with Git.
- English language proficiency for reading technical documentation.
Will Be a Plus
- Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms.
- Experience writing code in Python 3.
- Experience with MongoDB/Redis/YDB/YtSaurus/ClickHouse.
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes.
- Experience with networks, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS.
- Desire to grow as an ML infrastructure developer.

Internship Process
Internship Dates: August 2026 — January 2027
- Onboarding: Introduction to mentor and team. Access provisioning. Welcome meeting.
- Tasks: Assignment and completion of tasks during the internship. Deep dive into details and study of materials.
- Networking: Interaction with colleagues and participation in corporate events.
- Outcomes: Evaluation of results, summary, and feedback.
