Music service Yourtunes is looking for a Music Content Appraiser and Moderator.
They are seeking an erudite, detail-oriented, meticulous, and passionate music lover who possesses impressive knowledge of trends and tendencies in a wide variety of modern music genres, dreams of enjoying a multitude of diverse songs daily, evaluating them with utmost care, and helping new hits reach the ears of millions of listeners beautifully, correctly, and without unnecessary obstacles.
Responsibilities:
- Verify music releases for compliance with platform rules (cover art, metadata, content, rights, release version, and correct labeling)
- Control the presentation of releases (tracklists, artist names, composers and participants, genres, languages, versions, tags, and other nuances)
- Create engaging and captivating titles, descriptions, and annotation texts for releases
- Identify errors in releases and formulate clear, correct, and respectful responses to artists so that corrections are understood the first time
- Work with AI content, determining where generative elements are permissible and where a paid package, separate labeling, or additional documents are required
- Ensure that releases do not infringe on the rights of third parties or violate platform rules
- Participate in the review of disputed cases (duplicates, similar titles, incorrect authorship, unconfirmed track versions)
- Maintain loyal, calm, and professional communication with artists, labels, and managers via chat or internal channels
- Keep a record of typical errors, recurring cases, and non-standard situations
Requirements:
- Impeccable sense of style and excellent musical taste
- Deep knowledge of the modern music scene, including classics, rock, indie, pop, rap, electronic, folk, chanson, and singer-songwriter genres
- Impressive musical erudition, knowledge of music scene history, key artists, and subgenres
- Ability to quickly and structurally explain the essence of edits, concisely, to the point, and without unnecessary drama
- Excellent ear and musical intuition, ability to sense the mood of a track
- Organization, ability to work with a music library, and meet deadlines
