Python Developer

Yandex has many large geo-distributed systems. We maintain a high level of SRE culture. Therefore, we regularly conduct drills using a special service that automates chaos engineering processes. It allows us to:

• Create arbitrary drill scenarios based on user specifications, thereby implementing the drills as code approach
• Generate abnormal situations: network failures, traffic spikes, loss of a portion of service instances
• Collect information about what happened to the service during the drills

The number of service clients and scenarios that need to be covered is constantly growing. We are looking for a backend developer to help us realize our ambitious plans.

What tasks await you

Improve the service Develop product and business logic. Implement integrations with core infrastructure services. Enhance the observability and architecture of the solution.

We expect you to

• Have three or more years of Python development experience
• Be familiar with classical algorithms and data structures
• Be familiar with Tortoise ORM or another ORM
• Have worked with multithreading: processes, threads, queues, locks
• Have designed databases
• Have developed gRPC or REST API

Will be a plus

• Experience with asyncio and FastAPI
• Experience setting up CI/CD
• Experience designing high-load distributed systems
