What you'll do
Operations and Automation
- Manage infrastructure: administer and maintain a distributed fleet of dedicated servers and virtual machines
- Develop monitoring and response: configure and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system based on the Prometheus stack
- Automate routine operational tasks, node configuration, and deployment using Ansible
Network and Availability
- Develop the network: deploy new services and integrate new locations into the overall infrastructure
- Maintain fault tolerance: configure and support traffic balancing systems for high availability
- Participate in paid on-call duties 24/7 for prompt incident response
Requirements
Systems and Tools
- Proficient Linux administration and other *nix systems: understanding internal workings, troubleshooting, kernel and network optimization
- Hands-on experience with Ansible: writing roles and playbooks, understanding IaC principles
- Experience with containerization and working with Docker Swarm
Monitoring and Networks
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and exporters
- Understanding of virtualization principles based on LXD
- Basic knowledge of network technologies: OSI model, TCP/IP stack, routing, DNS, iptables or nftables
Nice to have
- Experience administering VPN protocols: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec/IKEv2, Xray, Amnezia
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
- Experience with BGP
