at AlfaTraining Learning Center remotely
Company: AlfaTraining Learning Center
We are looking for a tester to join the "Alfa-Constructor" development team to ensure the quality of the product – a web service for managing training and labor protection in enterprises. We need a specialist who knows the product better than anyone else on the team, meticulously checks each task against the technical specification and mockups, maintains regression and autotests, and documents the system.
Our company provides a full cycle of services in the field of labor protection, industrial safety, as well as professional development and training of employees (such training is required by law to ensure workplace safety in any company and reduce the risk of accidents). We operate throughout Russia, and we implement comfortable learning conditions using modern distance learning technologies and new IT solutions.
What we can offer:
- Official employment under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation or as an individual entrepreneur, salary payment twice a month.
- Five-day work week (5/2), full working day – 8 hours, 40 hours a week. Remote work format. Office or hybrid for St. Petersburg – at your discretion.
- Environmentally friendly, in-demand product.
- Individual offer, please state your preferences in the chat with HR.
Tasks to be performed:
- Deeply study the product and the subject area.
- Analyze technical specifications and interactive HTML mockups before development begins: identify gaps and inconsistencies, ask questions to the analyst.
- Check completed tasks from the Tracker: compliance with technical specifications point-by-point and mockups in terms of design, roles and permissions, empty states and errors, desktop and mobile versions, light theme. Complete the check up to the database record, not just a click.
- Perform regression testing before deployments, maintain the regression suite (checklists, test cases), run tests on realistic data volumes.
- Test integrations: EISOТ, 1C, notifications (email, push), file storage, attribute hints.
- Develop autotests: E2E on Playwright (TypeScript, currently 24 scenarios in CI GitLab) – cover key scenarios, ensure stability, analyze failures; add API tests.
- Create and manage defects: reproducible steps, expected and actual results, evidence (screenshots, videos, API responses, DB records), re-check fixes.
- Maintain documentation: business rules (training statuses and deadlines, mandatory documents), user instructions, descriptions of changes for deployments, API descriptions, test environment guide.
Key Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in web application testing, including at least 1 year with automation (Playwright, Cypress) and API testing.
- English – at the level of reading technical documentation (advantage).
- Testing of complex web applications (B2B, SaaS, corporate systems).
- Test design techniques: equivalence classes, boundary values, decision tables, state transitions, pairwise testing; checklists, and test cases.
- Testing according to requirements and mockups, identifying inconsistencies before development.
- HTTP and REST, browser DevTools (Network, Console), API testing (Postman or similar, Swagger).
- SQL: queries with JOIN and grouping for data verification.
- Autotests on Playwright or Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript), basic Git and CI (GitLab).
- Adaptive and cross-browser testing, keyboard navigation testing.
- Testing file imports and exports, dates, terms, and periods.
- Proficient written and technical documentation skills (Markdown).
- Will be an advantage: knowledge of labor protection, HR or learning systems (LMS). Experience with electronic signatures (CryptoPro) and government integrations.
Personal and professional qualities:
- Attention to detail: noticing even a few pixels difference from a mockup, or an inconsistency in a technical specification example.
- System thinking: understanding which adjacent scenarios are affected by a change.
- Independence and initiative: building the process independently, not waiting for detailed instructions.
- Argumentative communication: each remark supported with steps and evidence; distinguishing a bug from a question about requirements.
- Desire to deeply understand the subject area and regulations.
- Accuracy with data and external systems.
- Literacy in interface texts and documentation.
