QA Engineer for the developer tools development team, including a VSCode and Theia based desktop IDE. We need a specialist with manual testing experience, ready to dive into testing desktop applications, backend services, and AI tools.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of products: desktop applications, backend services, AI tools
- Perform various types of testing – positive and negative scenarios, formal and intuitive testing
- Maintain documentation on conducted testing, generate test reports
- Create and track defects in the internal task tracking system
- Develop test cases, prepare test scenarios
- Participate in product improvement, collaborate with the development team and auto-testers
- Participate in quarterly planning, daily syncs, discussions, brainstorms
- Work closely with classic engineers, AI engineers, and teams developing various developer tools
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to work with task tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
- Basic knowledge of programming languages: ability to write a simple program in Python or SQL
- Skills in API and integration testing, ability to work with Postman or similar software
- Ability to read and analyze logs
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
- Attention to detail, analytical skills
- Ability to work closely with engineers
- Ability to work in research (R&D) mode with high uncertainty
