We are IBS. A leading Russian system integrator, developer of digital solutions for major companies and the public sector.
You will join a team working on a large-scale HR platform — an ecosystem for personnel management: from recruitment and training to task assignment, leave and sick leave management. The product is being developed as an internal system with market entry in a cloud model.
This is a complex ERP system consisting of many services. Testing is conducted both on the frontend and backend, but the key task is backend verification: API, integrations, databases, business logic. We need a specialist who can both test manually and write autotests in Python (PyTest).
Your responsibilities (duties)
- Creating test cases for functionality (analyzing requirements, designing tests).
- Performing manual testing: checking new functionality and regression testing.
- Automating test cases in Python (PyTest).
- API testing — checking contracts between services, working with JSON.
- Writing and executing SQL queries to verify data in the database.
- Analyzing logs (Kibana) to find the root causes of errors.
- Interacting with developers and analysts to clarify requirements.
Our requirements (competencies)
Experience: from 6 months of commercial experience in automated testing.
Mandatory skills:
- Emphasis on backend testing experience (API, JSON, SQL, DevTools) — this is a key requirement.
- PyTest: confident knowledge of the library (fixtures, parametrization, markers, fixtures).
- General proficiency in Python: loops, basic algorithms, data types, methods and functions, classes.
- Proficiency in basic DB queries (at least up to JOIN of several tables).
- Ability to describe and create test cases for automation.
- Integration testing skills.
- Log reading skills (we use Kibana).
- Understanding of client-server architecture.
- Knowledge of the HTTP protocol, methods, status codes.
Personal qualities:
- Attention to detail and systemic thinking.
- Responsibility and independence.
- Communication skills — ability to clearly articulate problems and justify your position.
- Desire to grow in test automation.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience in testing ERP systems, HR products, or complex web applications.
- Understanding of HR processes (recruitment, training, personnel accounting).
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience writing API autotests (requests, aiohttp).
- Knowledge of Git.
- Experience working in large companies or the financial sector.
