Java Backend Engineer — Teletype

Position: Java Backend Engineer (Highload Messaging Platform) Company: INDEX Format: remote (Moscow time +/- 2 hours) Employment: full-time Income: 300 000 – 380 000 (net salary) 💰

Hello everyone! I'm looking for a Java engineer to join the product team that develops a highload omnichannel messaging platform. The focus is on highload, integrations (including banking), accelerating delivery to production, and operational quality.

💬 About the product:

Highload omnichannel messaging platform – the "heart" of the business (300–350 million messages per month). Channels: SMS, messengers/social networks (VK, OK, Viber, WhatsApp), push, Telegram (including bots, OTP/verification). Model – vendor platform: the platform is sold as a product, including to operators.

👨💻 What you'll do:

– Participate in designing and developing the highload mobile communications platform – Develop components and integrations with external systems of clients, banking platforms, and services – Customize the current product according to client requests and participate in developing the next version of the platform – Automate service delivery to production and reduce time-to-market via CI/CD – Participate in investigating incidents in production, conduct postmortems, and improve reliability

☝️ What's important:

– Java and commercial development experience of 3+ years – Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud at a confident practical level – Understanding of design patterns and microservice architecture (problems and solutions) – SQL at the level of complex queries + practical experience with PostgreSQL – Gradle (or another build system) – Docker and Kubernetes

➕ A plus:

– Kafka, Redis, ClickHouse – Experience with highload and integration products – Experience in a platform product model (vendor/platform)

🔧 Technologies:

Java 21+, Postgres, ClickHouse, React, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes Approaches: DDD, CI/CD
