Middle Backend PHP / Laravel Developer

We are WowVendor – one of the largest international services providing services in online games since 2014. We help amateur gamers achieve difficult accomplishments and in-game progress, saving them hundreds of hours of their personal lives.

We are looking for you – a Middle Backend PHP / Laravel Developer to join our distributed product team.

The main project is a large internal CRM system on Laravel. You will develop new features, work with backend logic, APIs, and integrations with third-party services.

What you will be doing:

• Developing new features for the internal CRM system on Laravel;
• Working with backend logic: business processes, roles, statuses, processing scenarios for requests and orders;
• Designing and refining APIs for internal services;
• Integrating third-party services, payment systems, and external APIs;
• Supporting and developing existing modules of a large enterprise project;
• Working with databases: MySQL / MariaDB;
• Analyzing existing code and gradually improving technical solutions.

How we work:

• Backend: PHP 5.x–8.x, Laravel 5.x–11.x;
• DB: MySQL, MariaDB;
• Server: Linux: Debian / CentOS, Nginx;
• Frontend: React, Ant Design, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, SCSS;
• Integrations: Amazon S3, Skrill, PayPal, Stripe, Yandex, ROBOKASSA, Convio and other external services;
• Also found in infrastructure and related projects: C#, Python, Typescript;
• The project runs on Docker / Kubernetes;
• We communicate in Discord / Slack;
• Tasks are managed in Jira.

You don't need to know the entire stack. The main focus of the role is PHP / Laravel, backend, databases, APIs, and integrations. We are ready to train you in other areas during the process.

We expect you to:

• Have commercial backend development experience of 4+ years;
• Work confidently with PHP and Laravel;
• Understand the architecture of web applications and internal business systems;
• Be proficient with MySQL / MariaDB;
• Understand the principles of API development and integrations with third-party services;
• Be able to read, maintain, and improve existing code;
• Use Git in your daily work;
• Write code that can be maintained after you.
