Operational Excellence is looking for a Middle Python Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the system core for event stream processing and real-time decision-making.
- Collaborate with ML specialists on algorithms and predictive models, ensuring stream processing within latency budgets.
- Create services that read event streams, maintain up-to-date object states, and make decisions without database access.
- Design processor architecture: keys, state, delivery guarantees, partition and replica counts.
- Implement deadlines without timers, state recovery after restarts and partition rebalancing, replay functionality, and idempotent sending of commands to external systems.
- Verify the quality of solutions using real data and deploy them to production.
Requirements:
- Python experience of 3+ years; technical education.
- Understanding of operating systems, networks, distributed systems, and stream processing.
- Mandatory experience with Kafka and understanding of the stream processing model.
- Ability to justify service boundaries.
- Knowledge of SQL, materialized views, and window functions.
- User-level Docker and Kubernetes, experience with GitLab CI.
- Independence and active use of AI in development.
- Willingness to complete a test task and pass a technical interview.
