Lead Rust Engineer (Solana)

We, BCH Labs, are an engineering team that has been building on Solana for 2 years. We create technically complex, high-load projects: currently, we work more for clients while simultaneously developing our own product. Our grand goal is to build financial infrastructure on Solana that increases the accessibility and liquidity of funds. We are strengthening our team and want to grow with strong people.

Who We're Looking For

An engineer-lead: writes production code at a strong senior level, leads a team, maintains architecture, and makes system decisions. The role is ~50/50 code and leadership (leading 1-3 engineers). As the lab grows, you'll grow to own entire projects.

Responsibilities

• Core of high-load systems in Rust — trading bots, low-latency infrastructure, Solana data streams
• Architecture: low latency, 24/7 reliability, working with threads
• Team: reviews, standards, mentoring, hiring
• Data and backtesting (ClickHouse), R&D — quant/ML strategies, searching for an edge
• Performance at all levels: code, network, infrastructure

Stack: Rust, tokio, gRPC, Solana RPC, Geyser, Yellowstone, Jito, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Docker, Grafana

**Deeper Dive (what you rarely see elsewhere):

• kernel-bypass datapath: AF_XDP / eBPF, socket tuning, thread deduplication/forwarding
• direct sends: QUIC → TPU, bundle routing, MEV-relay, bypassing slow RPCs

Requirements

• 3+ years of production Rust (async/tokio, performance, understanding what's under the hood)
• Strong system design, experience with low-latency / high-load systems
• Understanding of trading and markets (EV, risk, strategies) — fundamentally important
• Leadership and independence: you make decisions yourself, don't wait for tickets

Plus: Solana (RPC, programs, Jito/MEV, Geyser, threads), ClickHouse/data, ML/quant, DevOps/infrastructure, any blockchain background. We don't require Solana from day one — we value strong systems engineering more, and we'll teach you the domain.
