Bombora** is the non-fiction editorial department of Eksmo. We publish applied literature in 16 thematic areas: from popular science, gaming, business books, to cooking, psychology, sports, and parenting books. We release from 100 to 200 new books per month.

We have a new vacancy at Bombora for an AI Designer/Designer of the Art Department.

If you love creative, diverse design work and have always wanted to design books – then you are exactly the person we need!

Your responsibilities will include:

• creating high-quality artistic design for publications;
• developing unique design concepts for publications: searching for illustrative photo materials and typographic solutions;
• participating in pre-project development of the artistic design concept for publications;
• generating illustrations and images using neural networks: selecting models for the task (Midjourney, Google Gemini / Nano Banana, FLUX, GPT Image, etc.), writing prompts, ensuring consistency of characters and style in series;
• refining AI-generated images to print quality according to customer requirements: upscaling, artifact correction, retouching, color correction;
• developing a creative concept for a publication based on an analysis of the design of books in that market segment;
• participating in the development of all technical parameters (publication type, format, block, materials).

In addition to designing books, the creative designer devises designs for merchandise: notebooks, postcards, calendars, and develops layouts for book blocks.

We are waiting for your application if you have:

• a portfolio (!);
• experience as an art editor/designer/art director in advertising agencies, publishing houses, or magazines — at least two years is desirable (preferred);
• excellent computer skills: professional Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator);
• creativity, results-oriented approach, understanding of deadlines, accuracy, diligence, desire to improve and enhance professional skills;
• understanding of modern trends;
• independence and responsibility.
