Responsibilities:

⚬ Participate in database schema design and architectural reviews for a high-load platform. ⚬ Manage production PostgreSQL clusters: monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. ⚬ Design and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies (replication, failover, backup). ⚬ Forecast data growth and ensure scalability as traffic increases. ⚬ Write internal tools and automation (Python) for routine tasks, monitoring, and diagnostics. ⚬ Consult developers on query optimization, transactions, and PostgreSQL best practices.

Our expectations:

⚬ 5+ years of experience as a Senior DBA / PostgreSQL Engineer in production. ⚬ Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals (WAL, VACUUM, processes, memory, locks). ⚬ Experience in performance optimization (query analysis, indexes, execution plans, partitioning). ⚬ Experience with HA solutions (replication, Patroni, PgBouncer). ⚬ Confident Linux and Python skills (C knowledge will be a plus). ⚬ Experience supporting distributed systems with 24/7 requirements. ⚬ English language proficiency – Upper-Intermediate and above for daily communication.

Will be a plus:

⚬ Experience in AdTech, FinTech, or telecom. ⚬ Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and managed databases (RDS, Cloud SQL). ⚬ Experience with PostgreSQL migrations and major upgrades.
