About the team
We are developing Avito's data labeling and verification platform, through which over 1 million tasks pass daily. This is the infrastructural foundation on which the work of dozens of teams is built: from moderation and anti-fraud to ML research and product analytics. Join us if you want to create tools for solving problems with AI, deeply understand how Avito's verification processes work, and launch features that help other teams effectively solve their own tasks.
Your tasks will include
- Developing the end-to-end platform: from product logic to infrastructure. Launching new features, building integrations, and scaling the system for constantly growing load;
- Making architectural decisions: improving templating and labeling processes, developing storage solutions, eliminating legacy code;
- Working with data: optimizing PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, increasing overall system performance;
- Collaborating closely with Data Science engineers and product managers: diving into their needs and turning them into universal platform solutions;
- Writing quality code: covering it with tests, participating in code reviews, and influencing the team's engineering practices.
We expect you to have
- Confident proficiency in Python 3.10+;
- Knowledge of asyncio and experience with asynchronous frameworks: aiohttp, FastAPI, or similar;
- Confident experience with SQL (PostgreSQL): designing schemas, optimizing queries, working with migrations;
- Experience with message queues: Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar;
- Willingness to do frontend development if necessary;
- Confident experience with Git, participation in code reviews, and writing tests;
- Technical English proficiency at the level of reading documentation.
