Staff Backend Engineer (Go) (Fintech)

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a strong backend engineer who is interested not just in writing code, but in designing complex systems and bringing them to production.

We value an engineer who can independently understand a new subject area, grasp system limitations, make technical decisions, and take full responsibility for the outcome, rather than someone who merely implements ready-made technical specifications.

What You Will Do

The work is diverse and requires a broad engineering perspective.

Depending on the tasks, you will:

develop backend services in Go.
design internal services and APIs.
work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and gRPC.
develop new services and improve existing ones.
participate in architecture design.
analyze production incidents.
analyze logs, metrics, and traces.
participate in the development of Kubernetes infrastructure.
deploy services via ArgoCD.
work on the performance, scalability, and reliability of services.
participate in solving infrastructure tasks if necessary.

The main part of the backend is written in Go. We use the following in our work:

observability (logs, metrics, traces).

In daily work, the team uses modern AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development. However, the responsibility for architectural decisions and code that goes into production always remains with the engineer.

What Is Important to Us

We expect:

solid commercial experience in Go development.
experience in creating and supporting production systems.
understanding of concurrency in Go.
experience working with PostgreSQL.
experience working with Redis.
experience using Kafka or other message brokers.
experience developing gRPC services.
understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
understanding of system observability principles (logs, metrics, tracing).
ability to design services that are easy to maintain and scale.
