Senior Backend / Fullstack Developer (Node.js + React)

Pyypl is an international fintech company creating digital payment and banking solutions for users without access to traditional banking services. We are building scalable and reliable products used in Middle Eastern countries and emerging markets.
We are currently looking for a Senior Backend / Fullstack Developer who is ready to influence architecture, make technical decisions, and help the team grow.
What you will be doing:
- Designing and developing server architecture on Node.js (REST API, GraphQL, microservices)
- Developing client applications on React with a focus on performance and UX
- Participating in code reviews and shaping development standards
- Decomposing tasks, estimating deadlines, and collaborating with the product and design team
- Optimizing database operations, implementing caching, and message queues
- Writing technical documentation and automated tests
- Participating in architectural discussions and making key technical decisions
What is important to us:
- 6+ years of commercial development experience
- Deep knowledge of Node.js (Express / NestJS)
- Confident experience with React (hooks, context, state management)
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
- Understanding of REST and/or GraphQL principles
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with microservice architecture and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge of CI/CD fundamentals, Docker, basic experience with AWS
- Understanding of SOLID, DRY, and Clean Architecture principles
- English — at least Intermediate level (reading documentation, correspondence)
A plus will be
- Participation in open-source projects
- Experience in technical leadership or mentoring
