We are SimpleOne, part of the international ITG Corporation.
SimpleOne is a software developer for automating business processes of all company divisions involved in process and project activities in the service delivery field.
We are recruiting for the intensive program "QA Engineer (Trainee)" — 2.5 weeks of practice, after which successful participants will be offered a paid internship as a QA Engineer in the development team of one of SimpleOne's products.
When: from September 14 to 30.
Intensive Program Format:
- Selection stage — a short 15-minute interview;
- Webinars 3–4 times a week for 1.5–2 hours;
- Assignments and case studies with leading SimpleOne engineers: an opportunity to learn from the team's experience, not abstract examples;
- Employment as a trainee upon completion of the intensive program.
Where the internship will take place: in our offices in Saint Petersburg or Sevastopol.
What we expect from you:
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle;
- Basic knowledge of testing theory;
- Fundamentals of client-server architecture concept;
- Attention to detail;
- Higher or incomplete higher education (technical education preferred).
Will be a plus:
- Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, TestLink, TestTrail, etc.);
- Skills in writing test cases, checklists;
- Basic programming skills (at the level of confidently completing laboratory work at university) in any language;
- Basic knowledge of REST API, working with requests via Postman;
- Experience with Git.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performing manual testing of all new features;
- Testing builds before releases (including regression and smoke testing);
- Covering the product with test cases for their subsequent automation;
- Manual testing of the user interface;
- Creating defects and monitoring their correction;
- Strong desire to develop in the QA field with further growth in an area of interest to you: test design, automation, performance testing.
