Web Map Rendering Developer (Intern)

Our team works on map rendering. Tens of millions of people see the results of our work every day — the rendered map layers from which almost any user interaction with Yandex Maps services and applications begins.

We aim to take Maps to the next level by using new approaches to data visualization, processing, and transmission.

What tasks await you

Development of an interactive globe prototype You will be creating a working prototype for displaying a model of the Earth and basic interaction with it, which can be integrated into the main rendering engine.

We expect that you

• Have practical experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Have created graphical projects: games, 2D/3D visualizations, animations
• Understand how geometry rendering works, what vertices, indices, shaders are
• Enjoy delving into how graphics work under the hood

Will be a plus

• Familiar with the basics of WebGL, WebGPU, or other graphics APIs (OpenGL, Vulkan)
