Frontend Developer for Nirvana

Nirvana is the heart of Yandex. It's a computing platform and IDE for visually describing processes as graphs in the browser. You could say it's a large LEGO constructor for building and automating processes.

The platform is the main tool for ML developers and analysts in the company. It can be used to solve any task: from training neural networks and analyzing autonomous vehicle trips to processing support requests for Yandex's external products.

We are creating a collaborative development tool where it's easy to share your graphs with colleagues and build reproducible processes. We have minimal bureaucracy, and every team member can influence the outcome. The entire team is in St. Petersburg: we discuss tasks together, go for lunches and coffee, and regularly meet up at a bar.

What tasks await you

Interface Development You will develop interfaces for automating computations in Yandex services. Together with the designer, product manager, and team, you will create the best UI/UX in collaborative development tools.

Frontend Infrastructure We care about Developer Experience because it's the foundation of our efficiency and developer comfort. You will improve the frontend infrastructure: enhance the codebase, optimize code build and linting, integrate AI.

Library Development You will work within a large User Experience division, where colleagues' developments, such as open-source libraries from Gravity UI, are actively used. You will have a chance to contribute to our open-source library for graph rendering

We expect you to

• Have excellent command of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Know how to work with TypeScript and React
• Write unit and integration tests
• Have worked with Redux or other state management libraries
• Know how to use Git
• Are willing to delve into infrastructure, deployment, and related processes

It will be a plus if you

• Have worked with Node.js, Canvas API, Redux-Saga
• Are familiar with ETL/BPMN systems or other browser-based node-based IDEs
• Are willing to delve into product problems and find optimal solutions together with the team
