Frontend Developer for the Search Bootcamp

Search is Russia's leading search engine and a leader in the online advertising market, one of Yandex's most important businesses. Using neurotechnologies, our users quickly find answers to any question asked via text, voice, or image.

Search has many teams, which means a great variety of tasks. Our developers are actively involved in product development. We improve the UI&UX of various scenarios and Developer Experience, program complex multi-platform React components, ensure accessibility, improve user metrics, and, of course, don't forget about our favorite Easter eggs.

We love sharing experience and regularly organize internal meetups (not only about frontend, but also analytics, SRE, and other directions). Afterwards, we go to our team's own bar.

What tasks await you

• Develop interfaces using TypeScript/JavaScript + React
• Develop and use the design system within the monorepository of search services
• Develop for modern browsers Chromium 66+, Firefox 61+, Safari 12+
• Deploy code via a fast and reliable pipeline (autotests, betas for PR) and automatic daily releases
• Cover code with autotests in a convenient infrastructure (unit, Storybook, screenshot)

We expect you

• Have worked with the terminal
• Are proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Have good knowledge of HTML/CSS markup
• Know how to work with version control systems
