Aviasales OTA is a product that allows users not only to find but also to buy airline tickets directly through Aviasales. The team is responsible for the entire journey from ticket selection to purchase completion and its appearance in the user's profile.
This is a large product with complex booking logic and its own payment form.
Additional complexity is added by the specifics of the aviation industry and various partner scenarios. Changes in the main flow directly affect user experience and the team's results.
Developers have a unified backlog: there are no people permanently assigned to a single feature. Priorities are planned in three-month cycles, and we work in two-week sprints.
What you will do
- develop the main booking flow: data input forms and validation, additional services, seat recommendations, and auto-completion of contacts and documents;
- develop the checkout process and the proprietary payment form, work with asynchronous payment scenarios together with the payments team;
- launch loyalty scenarios and develop profile sections with information about points, documents, and contact details;
- maintain the common codebase of OTA Aviasales and partner versions of the product, considering the differences in their logic and functionality;
- participate in the entire feature development cycle: understand the product task, discuss solutions with the team and design, design client-server contracts, and bring changes to production;
- launch product experiments, monitor metrics, and support multiple logic variants during A/B tests;
- monitor alerts, identify technical issues, and propose improvements that benefit the product and the team.
What we expect from you
- at least four years of frontend development experience in large product IT companies;
- excellent command of TypeScript;
- engineering approach: the ability to understand the problem a task solves, see limitations and edge cases, propose alternatives, and deliver results to users;
- team-level autonomy: the ability to move tasks forward, ask questions promptly, and not get stuck on blockers alone;
- experience in designing client-server interaction or willingness to deeply engage in this part of the work;
- a calm attitude towards changing priorities and the ability to maintain focus on results in conditions of product uncertainty;
- willingness to go beyond the usual frontend stack if the task requires it, and to master an unfamiliar area with the team's help;
- conscious use of AI tools.
