We are looking for freelance life sciences writers with a strong science background and experience writing conversion-focused marketing copy for biotech and medtech clients. Candidates should be experienced full-time freelancers, not individuals who freelance in addition to a full-time role.

Writers must be adept at translating complex technical topics for a range of professional audiences, including executives, clinicians, investors, and scientists. Writing assignments for our clients may include website copy, white papers, case studies, thought leadership, eBooks, emails, blogs, and print collateral.

The role

In this role, you’ll:

• Turn complex scientific and medical topics into persuasive, plain-language content that converts audiences into customers
• Research and apply strategic keywords to optimize content for search engines and AI search
• Interview client stakeholders and subject matter experts, such as scientists, engineers, and clinicians
• Collaborate with editors, project coordinators, and account executives

The ideal candidate

You have:

• 3+ years of life sciences marketing writing experience, including 1+ year as a full-time freelancer
• A strong science background, ideally a degree in biology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience writing marketing content that meets clients’ medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review requirements
