💻WhiteBird is looking for a Systems Engineer for a cryptobank project

WHAT TASKS TO SOLVE:

✨Administration of network infrastructure and participation in its development. ✨Management of the VMware virtual environment. ✨OS Administration (Linux + Windows Server). ✨Ensuring secure remote access. ✨Monitoring and logging.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

✨L2/L3 network infrastructure – solid knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, NAT; experience configuring Cisco (Catalyst, ISR: Port Security, ACL, EtherChannel) and MikroTik (RouterOS: firewall, queue trees, VPN-servers L2TP/IPsec/OpenVPN/SSTP, Bridge, VRRP). ✨Diagnostics and auxiliary protocols – understanding of LACP, LLDP, SNMP; network diagnostics skills (tcpdump, Wireshark, MTR, iperf). ✨Experience deploying and administering vSphere (ESXi) versions 7/8. ✨Virtual network configuration: vSwitch, port groups, VLAN ID, security policies, traffic shaping. ✨Storage management: VMFS, connecting NFS/iSCSI. Experience with migration (vMotion), snapshots, templates, clustering (HA, DRS will be a plus). ✨Knowledge of vCenter Server (deployment, basic administration). ✨Linux and Windows Server OS – experience administering Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS): network configuration (netplan/ifcfg/ip), routing, systemd, user/permission management, SSH (keys, tunnels), basic bash/python scripting; Windows Server: AD (users, GPO), DNS, DHCP, NTFS permissions. ✨Remote access and security – setting up secure VPN access (Cisco/MikroTik/Linux), configuring RDP, SSH, jump hosts, basic understanding of firewalls (iptables/nftables in Linux, firewall in MikroTik). ✨Monitoring and logging (required) – deploying and supporting Zabbix or Prometheus+Grafana (templates, triggers, Telegram/SMTP alerts); centralized log collection via ELK or Loki with agents (Fluentbit/Filebeat/Telegraf) from network equipment, hypervisors, Linux/Windows. ✨Important: systemic thinking (network → ESXi → VM → application), ability to write documentation (diagrams, instructions, changelog), incident management (analysis, escalation, fix), upgrade planning (Cisco/MikroTik/ESXi).

Will be an advantage: automation (Ansible), SD-WAN/backup channels, containerization (Docker, k8s), backup (Veeam, Bacula), CCNA/MTCNA/VCP certificates.
