Technical Platform Team

The Technical Platform is Avito's internal cloud, where all our microservices, databases, image and log storage operate. It includes over 5000 servers, thousands of microservices, and data stores used by 300+ development teams.
We work with large volumes of data: clickstream, error logs, availability indicators, tasks, and messages. Analytics helps us identify growth points for the platform and make decisions that impact Avito's stability and speed.
— Analyze factors affecting Avito's reliability, identify inefficiencies in processes and key growth points; — Evaluate the impact of reliability on product metrics and incident costs; — Implement product approaches in the development of internal tools that help prevent incidents and resolve them faster; — Analyze the consumption of resources in internal and external clouds and forecast their needs; — Create and develop ML models for smart alerting and early incident detection; — Integrate A/B approaches into canary releases and evaluate their effectiveness; — Research the impact of AI development on SDLC and find growth opportunities in internal products.
— Have at least three years of experience in analytics; — Know mathematics and statistics and be able to apply them to solve practical problems; — Understand how analysis results and mathematical models relate to business metrics; — Be proficient in SQL: be able to work with large volumes of data, write and optimize complex queries, create analytical data marts; — Be proficient in Python and data analysis libraries; — Have experience with BI tools — we use Redash; — Be able to clearly visualize data, present research results, explain complex things in simple terms, and negotiate with colleagues; — Know the theory of A/B tests; — Hold a higher education degree in computational mathematics, physics, statistics, data analysis, or Computer Science.
— Understand the basics of distributed systems architecture; — Have experience with Linux, Docker, databases, and other infrastructure components.
