We at Freedom Lifestyle Group are looking for a strong Senior Backend Developer to design and develop the backend of Freedom Lifestyle's internal advertising platform: from business logic and high-load ad serving services to attribution and analytical reporting. We are looking for someone who can independently lead a technical task from architecture and specification to production release.
What you will be doing:
- Designing the backend of the advertising platform: campaigns, placements, priorities, and logic for fixing in the output;
- Developing high-load ad serving services with low response times;
- Building tracking services: impressions, clicks, events, and conversions;
- Developing an attribution pipeline that connects ad impressions and clicks with orders;
- Designing APIs for web, mobile clients, and Freedom's internal products;
- Designing database schemas, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing data operations under high load;
- Developing caching mechanisms, queues, and asynchronous event processing;
- Designing reporting views and analytics for commercial teams and partners;
- Conducting code reviews and documenting architectural decisions;
- Analyzing production incidents, profiling services, and eliminating bottlenecks;
- Participating in the development of the platform architecture and technology selection.
What is important:
- 5+ years of commercial backend development experience;
- Strong experience in Go development and understanding of high-load system design principles;
- Experience developing concurrent and asynchronous services;
- Experience with Python: FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, asyncio;
- Confident work with relational databases, currently MySQL: schemas, indexes, complex SQL, query optimization;
- Understanding of caching, message queues, and event-driven architecture;
- Experience in profiling and optimizing backend services under high load;
- Experience working in product IT companies;
- Ability to independently make technical decisions and lead a task from specification to release.
Will be a big plus:
- Redis;
- Kafka or other message brokers;
- ClickHouse;
- Docker / Kubernetes;
- Prometheus / Grafana / OpenTelemetry;
- Experience in developing AdTech, MarTech, FinTech, e-commerce, or other high-load platforms.
